Dance Ireland receives annual revenue funding from the Arts Council and Dublin City Council to support our role as a national resource for dance, and towards the running costs of DanceHouse.

With DanceHouse, Dance Ireland provides a base for a diverse range of professional and non-professional dance activity, including subsidised rehearsal spaces, affordable professional training programmes, local outreach programmes, and the provision of an on-going evening and weekend class programme. DanceHouse has received capital support from the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism/ Roinn Ealaíon, Spóirt is Turasóireachta.

However, while the rise in professional dance activity and the increase in participatory dance practices points to the development of a healthy dance infrastructure emerging, Dance Ireland and DanceHouse are constrained by our own limited resources. We simply cannot always meet the demand.

Dance Ireland is open to developing partnerships and funding relationships with other commercial and non-commercial organisations to the benefit of dance in Ireland. If you are interested in working with Dance Ireland on any of our programmes, we'd love to hear from you.
